Blueberry OB

Striking OB male peacock with bold blue and white patterning traits, some hints of orange, pink, red and yellow can be seen on different Blueberry OB's This is a hybrid peacock. They are mild to moderately aggressive. These vibrant cichlids, displays the classic blotch coloration that gives the OB variety its name. Hardy and territorial, he's best suited for established cichlid tanks with adequate space and compatible tank mates such as other Peacocks and haps of a similar size. It isn't recommended to keep with Mbunas. Their diet should consist of cichlid pellets and some frozen foods occasionally such as Spirulina-Enriched Brine Shrimp, melt the cube in a small container complete with some tank water. Males can reach 5–6 inches and thrive in warm, well-filtered water with plenty of rockwork for territory establishment. A centerpiece fish with dynamic color and personality.

Water Parameters: Maintain pH 7.2–8.0, temperature 74–80°F, and moderate water hardness (8–15 dGH). Perform 25–30% weekly water changes to keep nitrates below 40 ppm. Strong filtration and gentle water movement support their health.

Food: Feed high-quality cichlid pellets, quality flake food, and occasional live or frozen foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, or daphnia. Offer varied nutrition 2–3 times daily in portions they consume within 2–3 minutes. A balanced diet enhances color vibrancy and supports growth.
