The African Venustus (Nimbochromis venustus) is a striking East African cichlid prized for its brilliant coloration and dynamic personality. Males display vibrant yellow and blue hues with distinctive black barring, while females showcase more subdued earth tones. This cichlid reaches 10 - 12 inches and thrives in spacious aquariums with rocky structures and territorial boundaries. Venustus are intelligent, moderately aggressive fish best suited for experienced aquarists who can provide adequate space and stable water conditions. They feed readily on high-quality cichlid pellets and occasional live foods, making them rewarding additions to established African cichlid communities. Captive-bred specimens from our breeding program are hardy, vibrant, and ready to establish themselves in your aquatic environment.
Add this beautiful African Hap Cichlid to your aqurium. Recommend aquarium size for adult is 125 gal.
